The branch coupling is designed for 3½, 4, and 5-core unarmoured 1 kV cables with plastic insulation up to a cross-section of 25 mm2.
Examples: N(A)YY, N(A)YBY, ВВГ, АВВГ.
Connecting sleeve design
The body of the coupling consists of two impact-resistant transparent parts made of polycarbonate and polymer seals at the cable entry. The housing has a snap-locking mechanism and is extremely robust and can be easily and quickly installed without additional correction to the cable diameter. The Guroflex coupling filler is supplied in a two-chamber package. For more information on Guroflex, see page 63. The branch clamps make connecting the cores quick and easy. Several types of branch terminals can be used by Guro – a block of insulated screw connectors or individual screw terminals for each core. The sleeve is designed for cables with a diameter of 10-30 mm.
